POWER WASHING
We power wash the exterior of the house, with the appropriate cleansers, prior to the application of paint to remove all dirt and debris, and for maximum paint adhesion.

CAULK
The house is properly caulked to prevent possible water infiltration. Our company uses 40 year acrylic caulks with silicone or quality polyurethane caulks. F & H Painting has employees specializing in the caulk application process for large or more detailed jobs.

PAINTS
F & H Painting prefers to use Benjamin Moore Paints for their long record of proven reliability. Upon request, we will also use Pittsburgh, Pratt and Lambertt, or Sherwin Williams paint. Other types of paints may also be available for use upon request.

Some things to consider when choosing a stain:

Solid stain: looks identical to paint and can hide imperfections.  Recommended product if the deck already has a solid stain on it..

Semi–Solid stain: provides great coverage and allows some of the wood grain to be masked, while still enhancing the woods texture.

Semi-Transparent stain: Shows more of the natural look of the wood.  Good product if the deck is in good condition.
